The European Energy Exchange (EEX) has admitted Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund as auctioneer for Croatia. As a result, Croatia fulfills all requirements for the participation in the emissions auctions on the common EU auction platform. As a result, EEX will auction emission allowances on behalf of Croatia from the beginning of 2015.
Croatia will contribute additional 11,328,500 EU allowances (EUA) and 69,000 EU aviation allowances (EUAA) to the total auction volume on the common auction platform. The volumes have been distributed on the previously published dates of the EUA and EUAA auction.
EEX has adjusted the volume in the auction calendar accordingly. The updated auction calendar is available on the EEX website via:http://www.eex.com/en/trading/calendar.
With Croatia joining the emissions auctions, all 25 EU Member States participating in the common (EU) auction platform have now been successfully set up.
