Today, following an intense period of due diligence and preparation, diliger revealed it is commencing a raise of £500,000 in growth capital, using Crowdcube. The pre-money valuation is £1,500,000.
The financial crisis has intensified the pressure on financial institutions to find solutions to numerous operational and regulatory business problems, with reduced head count and budgets. In a year since going live, diliger has proved how it supports heads of operations and technology, as well as procurement teams, make better and faster buying decisions.
The marketplace is embracing the concept: to date, diliger has over 1,500 suppliers listed with an ever increasing community of users who use diliger to run searches and undertake research on products and services. Functionality includes generating RFI level reports and comparison tables on the fly, as well as creating and managing buying projects on an enhanced dashboard.
Tim Leppard, CTO states that “the internet and legacy directories have failed to support sourcing in capital markets, resulting in protracted and expensive buying cycles. We have developed a deep and logical framework to capture supplier’s capabilities information, so that buyers might accurately identify suppliers who match their requirements specifications, and quickly access information about exactly what they do versus their peers.”
Christian Bower, CEO, confirmed that the funding will be used to build the community of buyers and suppliers of FinTech, market data and securities services, and to drive utilisation of the platform. “We have been delighted that in our inaugural year we have not only delivered the platform, but seen such substantial adoption by the market. The platform has been designed from the outset to be global, so we have much to do in terms of generating awareness, ensuring all suppliers are represented and extending our coverage.”
On the product development side diliger plans to extend its technology coverage to transaction and payment systems and to increase securities services coverage to include custodians and prime brokers.
