CFOs and accounting professionals from Irish companies, including many listed on Irish Stock Exchange (ISE) markets, attended the 'Creating a Winning Annual Report' event at the ISE on Tuesday. Chartered Accountants Ireland Leinster Society organised the event where a number of expert speakers gave insights on how to deliver a clear and concise corporate message to stakeholders in their annual report.
Oliver Holt, National Head of Financial Reporting Group at Deloitte, outlined the key features of winning annual reports and gave an overview of the annual report planning process.
Orla O'Gorman, Head of Equity at the ISE, spoke about the importance of annual reports and their role in an investor relations programme and gave insights on what investors look for in order to enable them to make informed decisions.
Guests also heard from Maurice Barrett, Acting Head Financial Reporting Supervision Unit, IAASA, who provided an overview of the role of IAASA and shared some key messages for equity issuers in relation to their annual reports.
