Citibank AG New Member Of Stockholmsbörsen

Citibank AG, part of Citigroup, is a new member of Stockholmbörsen. Citibank AG will commence trading Monday November 5th. There has been a very large interest among foreign banks and securities firms in becoming members of Stockholmsbörsen during the year 2001.

Citibank AG is part if Citigroup, the worlds largest banking group with 230,000 employees in more than 100 countries. The trading will be conducted from the main office of Citibank AG in Frankfurt, which is the centre of their global warrants business. Citibank AG will start trading at Stockholmsbörsen on Monday 5th of November.

It is with great pleasure that Citibank AG announces it´s acceptance as a member of Stockholmsbörsen. Citibank is not only the biggest global warrant issuer, with more than 7000 issues outstanding, but it also has one of the most extensive range of memberships in the worldwide Securities Exchange community. We are particularly happy to start our activity at Stockholmsbörsen, an important milestone for the development of our warrants business in the Nordic markets, says Vasco Duarte Silva, Head of Warrants Europe

We are very pleased of having Citibank AG as a new member and also that the international interest of becoming members of Stockholmsbörsen is large, says Simon Nathanson, Executive Vice President of Stockholmsbörsen.

Citibank AG is the seventeenth new member during this year. During the year of 2001 Salomon Brothers International Ltd, JP Morgan Securities Ltd, Den norske Bank ASA, WestLB Panmure Ltd och Van der Moolen Effectenspecialist B.V among others have joined as new members of Stockholmsbörsen.

Fifteen of these new members are foreign banks and securities firms, which are trading directly from their offices in their countries of domicile, so called remote members.
