In the meeting of the supervisory board of European Commodity Clearing AG (ECC) yesterday, Dr. Christoph Mura was appointed a member of the executive board and new Chief Operating Officer (COO) of ECC AG with immediate effect. In his new capacity, Dr. Mura will assume responsibility for the entire operative business of the clearing house.
Mura has already been a member of the management board and COO of European Energy Exchange AG since 1st January 2009; moreover, he was appointed the chief representative of ECC on 16th January 2009. Since the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) and the German Central Bank have now confirmed his qualification as a general manager in accordance with the German Credit Services Act (KWG), Dr. Mura was now appointed a member of the executive board of ECC.
Prior to his appointment to the management board of EEX, Dr. Mura held the position of the sole director of boerse-stuttgart AG and managing director of boerse-stuttgart Holding GmbH.
