New Zealand Exchange Limited (NZX) announced today the issue of $350 million capital notes for GPG Finance plc (GFN) on the New Zealand Debt Market (NZDX).
This debt listing is a significant event, as it brings the total capital raised this year to date on the NZDX to $2.2 billion, an $880 million increase on the same period last year.
“This is an auspicious time for the NZDX; $2 billion is a significant figure in anyone's terms. This event signals the value of the NZDX Market- previously relatively low profile- as a means for companies to raise capital,” said Geoff Brown, NZX Head of Products.
GPG joins companies such as ANZ National Bank and Hellaby Holdings using the NZDX Market to fund their growth this year.
GPG's debt securities will be quoted on the NZDX Market under the security code GFN030 from 10am today.
