Total number of trading days in September 2005 amounted to 21 days with total value traded of LE 14,701.12 million. Value traded of listed securities amounted to LE 13,607.61 million, of which shares, bonds and funds represented 95.14%, 4.86% and 0.00% respectively. On the other hand, OTC trading reached LE 1,093.51 million, which represents 7% of total value traded for the month.
This is in comparison to August 2005, when value traded of listed securities amounted to LE 12,514.22 million, of which shares represented 97.69%, bonds 2.31% and funds 0.00%. In addition, the OTC trading amounted to LE 814.25 million i.e. 6% of total trading (on- and off-exchange trading) which reached LE 13,328.47 million.
Total volume traded (shares & bonds) for this month reached 331.48 million securities.
During September 2005, 527,347 transactions were concluded with an average of 25,112 trades per day, as opposed to 257,995 transactions and an average of 11,217 trades per day in August 2005.
Indices
CASE 30 Price, the official market index, witnessed a 13.73% increase in September 2005 to reach 5476.78 points and witnessed a 162.07% increase on YoY.
However, the MSCI Egypt index witnessed a 13.12% increase in September, to close at 642.91 points on 29/09/2005, and a 178.60% increase on a YoY basis.

The bond capitalization recorded LE 6.78 billion for corporate bonds and LE 36.32 billion for government bonds at the end of September 2005 (Including Treasury Bonds according to Primary Dealers System).
