The proposed business combination of BM&FBOVESPA and CETIP received the 2016 AMEC Corporate Events Award on Thursday (October 27), from the Association of Capital Market Investors (AMEC).
The AMEC Corporate Events Award seeks to encourage companies publicly to adhere to best corporate governance practices, granting good visibility and publicity to the corporate action that the AMEC members judge to be exemplary.
“We are truly honored by this prestigious award. AMEC represents values that are very close to the Exchange’s heart and brings together investment industry leaders both in Brazil and Abroad. It is an enormous privilege to have won this recognition, which becomes even more special when occurring in the context of a transaction that is transformational in the history of the Exchange and, we like to think, for Brazil’s financial and capital markets,” said Daniel Sonder, BM&FBOVESPA’s Chief Financial Corporate and Investor Relations Officer.
