The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has today published the terms of reference for a credit card market study. The FCA announced the market study in April 2014 after its own research showed that the credit card market was not working well for some consumers.

Nadex Plans Launch Of Bitcoin Binary Options
The North American Derivatives Exchange (Nadex), a regulated online binary options exchange, today announced it plans to launch bitcoin binary options contracts in early December, subject to filing with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. Nadex will list the daily and weekly bitcoin binary options contracts with prices based on TeraExchange’s Tera Bitcoin Price Index (“TeraBit Indexsm”), the global benchmark for USD/XBT contracts.

FERC Approves Fourth Settlement In 2011 Southwest Blackout Case
The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) has approved a stipulation and consent agreement among FERC’s Office of Enforcement, the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), and the Western Area Power Administration – Desert Southwest Region (Western-DSW) that resolves the investigation by FERC Enforcement staff and NERC into Western-DSW’s involvement in the Sept. 8, 2011, Southwest blackout.

CFTC Staff Issues Time-Limited Extension Of Swap Data Reporting Relief For Certain Swap Dealers And Major Swap Participants Established Under The Laws Of Australia, Canada, The European Union, Japan And Switzerland

Korea Exchange And DME Announce Cooperation
Korea Exchange (KRX), the leading North Asian equities and derivatives operator, and the DME, the premier energy futures and commodities exchange in the Middle East, today announced that they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen their cooperation in promoting the development of commodity futures contracts and in particular crude oil.
