Bank Of England Maintains Bank Rate At 0.5% And The Size Of The Asset Purchase Programme At £375 Billion
The Bank of England’s Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) sets monetary policy in order to meet the 2% inflation target and in a way that helps to sustain growth and employment. At its meeting ending on 9 September 2015, the MPC voted by a majority of 8-1 to maintain Bank Rate at 0.5%. The Committee voted unanimously to maintain the stock of purchased assets financed by the issuance of central bank reserves at £375 billion.

UK’s Financial Conduct Authority Fines And Bans Ralph Whittington
The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has today fined Ralph Whittington £42,111 and banned him from performing any function in relation to regulated activity for failing to act with integrity in carrying out his controlled functions. The FCA has also withdrawn Mr Whittington’s approvals to perform controlled functions at Savesure Limited (“Savesure”), an insurance intermediary of which he was a shareholder.

Korea Exchange (KRX) Amended The Enforcement Rules Of The Disclosure Regulations
The KRX amended the Enforcement Rules of the Disclosure Regulations of the KOSPI and KOSDAQ markets as a follow-up measure after the “Regulatory Reform for the Corporate Disclosure System (FSC, June 1, 2015),” and it has become effective on September 7, 2015.

EURO STOXX 50 Index Licensed To Yuanta To Underlie Exchange-Traded Fund
STOXX Limited, the market-moving provider of innovative, tradable and global index concepts, today announced that the EURO STOXX 50 Index has been licensed to Yuanta Securities Investment Trust Company (Yuanta SITC), the largest mutual fund company in Taiwan, to serve as the basis for an exchange-traded fund (ETF). The ETF will be listed on Taiwan Stock Exchange in 2016.
