    Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes in the S&P/HKEx GEM Index effective after the close of trading Friday, May 6, 2005: TOM Online Inc. (Hong Kong, SEDOL: 6743440, GICS: Information Technology, GICS Code: 45101010), a member of the S&P/HKEx GEM Index, shares will increase by 304,155,503 to 4,200,355,503.     Today, the shares of Arpida Ltd, a Swiss biopharmaceutical company, were traded in the main segment of the SWX Swiss Exchange for the first time. Yesterday, i.e. on Tuesday evening, an issue price of CHF 18 was determined. The opening price on the SWX was CHF 16.75. This corresponds to a market capitalisation of CHF 274 million. Arpida belongs not only to the SPI® but also to the SPI EXTRA®.

    The New York Stock Exchange will host its third Global Opportunities Conference for listed issuers and investors on May 10. In a day-long event at the Harvard Club, the conference will enable CEOs and senior executives from 25 listed non-U.S. companies from 10 countries to meet with portfolio managers, investors and analysts in group meetings and one-on-one sessions. The conference was developed specifically for non-U.S. companies with a market value of $3 billion or less.
