Tokyo Commodity Exchange July 2017 Market Summary - TOCOM July Volume Averaged 111,539 Contracts For The Month, Up 15.9%
The Tokyo Commodity Exchange announced today that July 2017 daily average volume was 111,540 contracts, up 15.9% from June. Volume increased for TOCOM’s most active contracts, including Dubai Crude Oil, which rose 45.9% to 30,598 contracts. Gold Standard was up 12.8% to 29,523 contracts. These gains overcame weakness for contracts including Rubber, which was down 5.1% to 7,957 contracts.

Monetary Authority Of Singapore Proposes Increasing Deposit Insurance Coverage To S$75,000
The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) today released a public consultation on its proposals to enhance the Deposit Insurance (DI) Scheme, which insures Singapore dollar deposits held at a full bank or finance company in Singapore.

US Department Of Justice: Man Charged For His Role In Creating The Kronos Banking Trojan
Gregory J. Haanstad, United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, announced that on July 11, 2017, following a two-year long investigation, a federal grand jury returned a six-count indictment against Marcus Hutchins, also known as “Malwaretech,” for his role in creating and distributing the Kronos banking Trojan. Hutchins, a citizen and resident of the United Kingdom, was arrested in the United States on August 2, 2017, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
