FORTS: Initial Margin On The Sugar Futures Contract Increased For Delivery Period
As of June 25, 2009, 6:00 pm MSK the Initial Margin on the sugar futures contract SUGA-07.09 (trading system code SUN9) will be increased to 25% of the settlement price in order to secure performance of delivery and payment obligations under the contract.

FFastFill Connects To ELX Futures
FFastFill plc (FFastFill) has announced that it has passed ELX Futures, L.P. (ELX Futures) conformance standards to provide its clients trade execution connectivity for futures products traded on ELX Futures through its TradingPro service. ELX Futures received regulatory approval from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) on May 27th, 2009 to become a Designated Contract Market with trading to commence on July 10, 2009.

Dubai Mercantile Exchange Hits New Trading Record With 8,076 Lots Traded On 23rd June
The Dubai Mercantile Exchange today released the following statement to mark record volumes traded on the Exchange on June 23rd 2009: Chairman Ahmad Sharaf stated: “Trading volumes are a clear signal of market sentiment, so we are delighted to have hit record volumes of 8,076 contracts traded over the course of June 23rd, following our announcement that the Dubai Department of Petroleum Affairs is shifting to a forward pricing model based on the DME Oman Crude Oil Futures Contract.<

June 2009 “Islamic Market’s Measure” – Monthly Report On The Performance Of The Dow Jones Islamic Market Indexes
Based on the close of trading on June 23, the global Dow Jones Islamic Market Titans 100 Index, which measures the performance of 100 of the leading Shari’ah compliant stocks globally, lost -1.45% month-to-date, closing at 1734.39. In comparison, the Dow Jones Global Titans 50 Index, which measures the 50 biggest companies worldwide, posted a loss of 1.66%, closing at 141.03.

Benchmark Index KLCI To Be Renamed As FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI On 6 July 2009
Bursa Malaysia today reminded the market that its benchmark index, the Kuala Lumpur Composite Index (KLCI) will adopt FTSE’s global index methodology and will be renamed as FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI, starting on 6 July 2009 onwards.
