Shenzhen Stock Exchange Market Bulletin 20 October, 2014, Issue 33
Last week, Shenzhen Component Index stood at 8151.5 points after adding 1.0%. SME Index closed at 5479.3 points after losing 0.6%. ChiNext Index was down 0.0% to 1511.1 points. Total turnover for stocks and funds on SZSE was US$341.7 billion, or a 121.7% increase from the week before.

Rengan Rajaratnam Agrees to Settle Insider Trading Charges
The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced that former hedge fund manager Rajarengan “Rengan” Rajaratnam has agreed to pay more than $840,000 and accept securities industry bars in order to settle the agency’s insider trading case against him.

OCC Releases Dodd-Frank Stress Test Scenarios For 2015
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) released economic and financial market scenarios that will be used in the next round of stress tests for large financial institutions. The scenarios include baseline, adverse, and severely adverse scenarios, as described in the OCC’s final rules that implement stress test requirements of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010.

Federal Reserve Board Releases Supervisory Scenarios For 2015 Capital Planning And Stress Testing
The Federal Reserve Board on Thursday issued the supervisory scenarios that will be used in the 2015 capital planning and stress testing program. The program includes the Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) of 31 bank holding companies with $50 billion or more of total consolidated assets.

CFTC Staff Issues Interpretative Guidance Regarding Customer Margin Deposits Submitted Using Automated Clearing House Payment Processing Systems
The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s (Commission) Division of Swap Dealer and Intermediary Oversight today issued an interpretation of Commission Regulations 1.22, 22.2 and 30.7 providing that a futures commission merchant (FCM) may credit a customer’s trading account for a margin payment upon the FCM’s initiation of a withdrawal from the customer’s bank account using the Automated Clearing House (ACH) payment processing system.
